A Tribute to Zeke Urrutia: Medical & Funeral Fund
Donation protected
In honor of Zeke and to support the Urrutia Family.
On January 9th, 2025, we tragically lost a brother, son, partner and friend. At 23 years old, Ezequiel "Zeke" Urrutia was involved in a fatal wrong-way car accident on the Florida Turnpike, early Thursday morning.
Those that knew him, knew Zeke was somebody that cared about saving lives. A paramedic and soon to be Miami-Dade firefighter, Zeke knew the value of a life. He modeled his pursuit of life after the death of journalist and friend Steven J. Sotloff. Zeke used a quote from Sotloff to guide his life, "Everyone has 2LIVES, the second one begins when you realize you have only ONE...". He demonstrated that through the way he lived.
A young man with limitless potential, Zeke wasn't just a great friend, but also a loving big brother to his sister Alexis. He was her hero. His goofy sense of humor and contagious smile brought joy to all of those around him. His name was known by many and loved by more.
