Salmon is my service dog and she is everything to me. At just 2 years old, Sam has unfortunately eaten the stuffing from several stuffed animals and needed intensive medical care. She and I will be moving out of my dad's house to go to college, where I will be paying for college all on my own, as well as rent, groceries, transportation, and anything else that may be required. Sam would be joining me on this difficult, but great, adventure if it weren't for her current state.

(See update below) At around 3am this morning (8/14), Sammy came up to me in a panic. She was crying out, yelping, snapping, and couldn't stand up straight. She kept rolling on the ground and her tummy was bright red and hot. I knew something was wrong, so I rushed her to the emergency vet. I knew she got into some stuffing about 3 hours prior, but she has never actually eaten it. Hours and some fluids/x-rays later, Sam's stomach is incredibly enlarged. Because of this, the vet can't induce vomiting.

*update* At this point in time, Sam has returned home to be closely monitored. She is not in critical condition anymore as of 8/15, but if anything changes she may still need the $10-15k surgery. We have $2500 already in vet bills.

Please, Sam is just a puppy and she has achieved so much already in her life. She is the greatest dog and helps me so much medically and emotionally with her tasks. Anything at all is one step closer to helping her feel better.
