Tim the Tool Man's Fight for Life…

Some of you may know Tim Snell in many capacities. He is a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend, employee, and just one of the best all-around human beings you could ever meet. He is a simple man, who has always tried to lead an uncomplicated life, but things have recently become more complex. Never one to draw attention or fuss, to know him is to love him.

So, although this goes against anything he'd ever do…

I'd like to ask for your help now, for him.

Hi, I'm Heather Snell. Tim is known as "Pops" to me, and beloved "Pappy" to my kids. My whole life, I’ve witnessed how he is always first to reach out a helping hand, to go above and beyond, expecting nothing in return.

Dad worked as an over-deliver, under-charge, master Carpenter his whole life, until just before his recent throat cancer diagnosis.

A few weeks ago, he walked into an outpatient hospital for a biopsy and received a diagnosis of Laryngeal Cancer.

The size and location of the tumor have caused the constriction of his airway and the paralysis of his throat, which resulted in him needing to have a tracheotomy. Feeding is now being done via tubes, and everything is fluid until more can be done to stabilize this new situation for him.

His hospital stay over for the last few weeks has been challenging, to say the least. We have experienced one frustrating setback after another- from little things to multiple postponements of procedures that he needs to move forward.

His true fight with cancer cannot start until we get past this first phase. He is going to need radiation and chemo, and will be on oxygen and a feeding tube for the foreseeable future.

All of this prevents him from doing what he loves to do most.. which is working.

And as a self-employed carpenter, that leaves him with no income coming in whatsoever, and bills that are not going to stop coming in.

So, I humbly ask, for those of you who know (and love) my dad...for those of you who know me...or if you've just stumbled upon this through a friend of a friend...for donations to take the stress of day to day life off his plate.

I just want him to be able to focus on getting better.
