Yesterday afternoon, while home alone with our 6-month-old, I suddenly heard neighbors yelling—our house was on fire. I ran outside barefoot, baby in my arms, to see flames engulfing the side of our home. I immediately called my husband who calmed me down via facetime as he rushed to us. By God’s grace, we are safe—alive, unharmed, and deeply thankful.

We lost our home, but not our lives. Dave and I are forever grateful to our neighbors who rushed to help, and to our community for the incredible love and support. Many have asked how to help. While insurance will cover some needs, we’ve set up a GoFundMe as the best way to support us right now.
