My name is Renford Facey, and I am a proud Jamaican, born and raised in South Trelawny, in a beautiful parish called Albert Town. Jamaica has always been a nation of strength, resilience, and unity. When we fall, we don’t stay down — we rise, we laugh through the pain, and we keep moving forward. But today, my heart is heavy, and my spirit aches for my island.
Hurricane Melissa has left behind unimaginable devastation across Jamaica. Many families are displaced, homes have been destroyed, and entire communities no longer look the same. Essential supplies such as food, clean water, medication, clothing, and hygiene products are in short supply. Large areas remain without electricity, internet, or phone service, leaving countless people unable to reach their loved ones both locally and abroad.
In my hometown of Albert Town, known for its farming and rich ground provisions, everything has been wiped out. The crops that sustained families and communities are gone, and livelihoods have vanished overnight.
Despite this darkness, I hold on to faith — because Jamaicans are strong. Love never dies; it conquers all.
I am reaching out from the bottom of my heart to ask for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward helping families rebuild, restoring access to essential supplies, and bringing hope back to the people of Jamaica. Together, we can make a real difference.
Please join me in helping my family, my neighbors, and my communities recover from this tragedy. Let’s come together to rebuild our Jamaica — strong, united, and full of love.
From my heart to yours, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.
Fi Wi Jamaica — We Will Rise Stronger. One Love. ❤️
