Supporting the family of Martin Lynn

Words of Martin's sister Sharon
On the early hours of Sunday morning (30th July) at around 4.30am, my kind, funny and gentle young brother Martin was violently and unnecessarily attacked by a motorist passing through Larkhill road in Whitehall. Just seconds away from the front door of our family home. A home where we had so many happy memories in a nice quiet community. A home that Martin lived in and felt safe in for 33 years. I cannot put into words the shock and devastation we feel.
Martin was a mild mannered, funny, polite and positive young man and was never involved in any trouble or violence. Small in stature but big in heart.
Message from the community of Whitehall
Hi my name is Cathy, I am a neighbour of Martin's family and I have set up this gofundme on behalf of the community of Whitehall who wish to support Martin's family in any way possible.
In the midst of this heartache, we want to extend our support to his grieving family. We understand that navigating the emotional and financial challenges of such a devastating loss can be overwhelming. As a community, we have the opportunity to stand by them in their time of need.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly towards covering the unexpected expenses that have arisen due to this unfortunate incident. These may include funeral costs and any other immediate financial burdens that the family may face during this incredibly difficult period.
Your generous contributions, whether big or small, will make a significant impact on alleviating the financial stress that the family is currently enduring. Additionally, your messages of love, condolences, and memories shared on this platform will serve as a testament to the positive influence this young man had on so many lives.
Let us come together to honour his memory by supporting his family in their time of need. Any assistance you can provide, whether through financial contributions or by spreading the word about this campaign, will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, empathy, and solidarity as we remember and celebrate the life of a young man gone too soon.
