Eyslee Family Campfire Victims Fundraiser

Donation protected
The Eyslee Family was one of thousands of families who lost their home in the Campfire of Northern California. Unfortunately, they did not have home insurance. Their family of 7 currently has no home, and are living with some friends.  Dad works at Costco, Mom works part time at Fed Ex to make ends meet.  To make matters even more difficult, one of their sons suffers from a rare genetic disorder called "Fredricks Ataxia", that is a rare type of Muscular Dystrophy and causes slow degeneration of the heart and the body's nervous system with muscle coordination.  They try to keep him as mobile as possible, but for longer distances (trips to the store/etc) he is limited to wheelchair mobility.  At one point, the Father and son with his wheelchair were frantically packing their truck trying to save anything they could before escaping themselves from the fire.  They are in desperate need of funds to get back up on their feet and move towards the life they once had. They still own their property, but there is nothing left but rubble and ash.  The fundraiser money will initially go towards putting in water tanks on their property to begin rebuilding.  Also, as you see in the photo, their van was burned to ashes.  They need a reliable vehicle to transport everyone that can also fit a wheelchair.  They are on a list for receiving a camper trailer from their church, but it is unknown if, or when, this will happen.  Imagine starting your lives from ZERO. The enormity of their loss is devastating and deep. The sorrow they face on a daily basis is overwhelming.  The concept of rebuilding is overwhelmingly stressful.  We hope to raise some funds for this family, more than anything, to give them hope.  They are not alone, and with YOUR help, they will one day rise from the ashes like a Phoenix, new and improved.

Please please please consider donating to this family. And if you can't donate, please share! The circle of help surrounding these families is full of similar faces and devastation... and sharing these stories is the only way to reach outside of their immediate circle to a greater force of strength and help. Whether it's $5, $20, $100.... together we can help make a difference. If you are saying to yourself, "I already gave money to the Red Cross... and I don't know these people." Please take a moment to get to know them and their stories. You won't regret it. We will update their fundraiser page to reflect the current needs as we go along.

**Itsy Photography is dedicated to helping this cause.  We are currently helping 11 families affected by the fires in a concentrated effort to make a difference. Once we reach our fundraising goals, I have a mile-long list of more families who also need help.  If you'd like to see their stories as well, and/or donate to another family in need, click here: https://www.itsyphotography.com/fundraisers
