Jayce’s Recovery

Jayce Shaw is a FOUR YEARS OLD little boy living with SICKLE CELL ANEMIA. He has been through more countless procedures and medications than anyone could imagine in such a short lifetime as a result. Most recently, Jayce had a STROKE at preschool on Friday, March 22 and has been hospitalized ever since. As a result Jayce has had to have constant BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS and is facing BRAIN SURGERY within the next month or so. He will have to spend his time at a pediatric stroke rehabilitation facility, when he is able to leave Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Jayce is such a vibrant and sweet boy!

His parents, Melissa and Jacob Shaw also have 3 older children. Jacob has been unable to take off of work as they are facing mounting medical bills, and as the main provider of their large family. Melissa has been by Jayce’s side throughout his journey, never leaving the hospital. She has to take an unpaid leave from her job.

I am looking to ease some of the financial burden they are facing via these medical bills, and perhaps raise enough money that Jacob can take some time off to spend not only with Jayce, but helping with their three children who are home as well.

Any amount helps and this family is the most deserving on the planet. They never complain, they’d never ask for anything, and they are always helping others and have the kindest hearts!! Please help me help them and send all your well wishes to Jayce for the duration of his medical journey!
