In honor of our friend and colleague, Eyitope Bolujoko, DVM, we have created a fundraiser to establish a scholarship fund for his two young daughters.
Eyitope was born in Zaria, Nigeria and received his veterinary degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria in 2010. He later passed the strenuous ECFVG examination allowing him to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. He also completed the challenging requirements to become a United States citizen. Dr. Bolujoko joined VCA Castle Shannon in Pittsburgh, PA in 2015 and immediately became a beloved part of his work family and of the community. He was well-known by both his colleagues and clients as an immeasurably kind person and a most excellent and thorough veterinarian. He practiced outstanding medicine, saving lives and helping animals and their people every single day. He handled the rigors of the veterinary world with wisdom, grace, and humor, often flashing his brilliant smile throughout the day and dispensing his wit and jokes to help lighten the day. Eyitope was also an active member of his beloved church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Wilkinsburg, PA, where he sang in the choir. He could often be heard singing at work to soothe the animals and, sometimes even to soothe his rowdy co-workers. Eyitope was that very rare person who was so innately good and kind that he elevated everyone around him to be the best version of themselves.
Eyitope was both strong and humble in his Faith, a continuous student and teacher, a hard worker, a devoted friend. And while he loved his church, his job, and the people with whom he worked and worshipped, his heart belonged wholly to his precious wife, Ade, and their two young daughters. He said once that he wanted to be a very good veterinarian but a great father and husband. He was better than good, or great. He was exceptional and he was irreplaceable. We are all better people for having been blessed enough to have known him.
Eyitope's family lost their husband and daddy far, far too soon, having succumbed to his battle with cancer at age 39. We wanted to do something to help his little girls and thought that an educational fund would be something of which he would have approved. Please help us give Dr. Bolujoko's daughters a future full of opportunity
