This little boy is afraid and in pain. His parents are devastated. With their backs against the wall, they are fighting the most desperate battle of their lives against the running time, disease that wants to claim their child's vision and life, and enormous amounts of money necessary for the only treatment that brings hope! All of us, their friends, rallied around to help.

The little, two-year-old son of my friend was diagnosed with retinoblastoma in both of his eyes. Cancer has already spread! His parents heard the diagnosis a mere three weeks ago. Since then he was given the first, general chemotherapy, which is meant to prevent the spread of the disease. However, they were informed that nothing can be done to save his eyesight in our home country of Poland.

The only chance this little boy has to see the world in the future lies in the experimental treatment in New York, in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center !

His parents already won one important battle - they were offered a consultation possibility, which not every child gets. However, this consultation takes place on the 16th of November, in 9 days!! They started the fundraising action yesterday (page in Polish ) and at that point they had only 10 days to raise the money necessary for his treatment: 250 thousand U.S. dollars. The running time and the enormous amount of money stands between Wojtus and his future: blind or seeing, alive or dead.
