Eye-controlled power wheelchair for alex

Hi my name is Kelly, unfortunately a year ago today a family fun-filled day at richmond river turned into the worst day of Our lives,

my brother Alex 39 a father of three, jumped into the river in the same spot he's jumped into every year in the summer months since he was a child, within 10 minutes of arriving at the river Alex jumped in only this time hit a rock and snapped his spine and broke his neck in the worse place possible leaving him paralysed from the neck down for the rest of his life,

getting airlifted to James cook hospital for emergency surgery then been put in to an induced coma only to wake up to be told the deverstating news never to be able to move his body again, Never to be able to cuddle his children again kian 18, Ella 17, and Alexander junior who was just 3 months old at the time of his dads accident,

Alex has no independence whatsoever other than been able to talk what we are still very lucky to hear,
Alex is still in James cook hospital and we are currently trying to bring him home where he will need 24 hour care, we have researched and we could get Alex a chair that he could control by his eyes this would give Alex a little bit of his own independence back, but these chairs can cost up to £15,000 !!!

as a family we are doing everything we can to save but with transport back and forward from the hospital everyday for the passed year is making it difficult.

we are currently setting up some fundraising events and it would be great if anyone could help towards this please any little would be appreciated it would mean the world to alex he has gone through the worst time possible this last year he has had infection after infection pneumonia surgery blood transfusion's the list goes on, it would make his day if we could make the funds for this for him, fundraising days will be updated

Alex is a fantastic son, dad, brother, uncle & friend he would do anything for anyone now its our time to help alex, and to be able to have him back at family events would be amazing as Alex still hasn't plucked up the courage to even socialise or let friends see him yet only family

Appreciate everyone that can help by donating and sharing thank you in advance from alex and family ❤️
