Eye Surgery Funding

Friends, I promise asking for money right now is the last thing I want to do. I know everyone must be struggling,or experiencing some kind of difficulty. But I am running out of options. I've procrastinated too long, and my situation is time sensitive. On April 1st I was diagnosed with advanced retinal detachment in my left eye. Detachment reached the macula. Surgery was immediately scheduled for April 6. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers 500 of a 6000 surgery, the balance to be paid up front. So I've had to postpone surgery. The doctor has stressed the severity of the situation( possible blindness without surgery), and wants me to proceed ASAP. I am still in the process of trying to get financial aid from other sources, but, so far to no avail. My doctor sees signs of trouble in my right eye as well. Eyesight is a precious thing. I have tried over the years to stay on top of eye exams, surgeries(cataract for both eyes), to preserve my vision. Any help that you can provide would mean the world to me. With love and thanks, Dean.
