Eye surgery for Stevie
At only 6 years of age, Stevie was taken to the vets to be put to sleep. He had mature cataracts, had gone blind and his previous owners no longer wanted him.
We were extremely lucky to hear about Stevie and we offered to help.
Bloods at our vets showed that he was in otherwise good health and so an appointment was made with Melbourne EyeVet to assess his eyes and see if anything could be done to restore some vision. Tests were done and Dr Anu was confident that there would be a good chance that cataract removal surgery would help.
Although they very kindly heavily discounted their fee, we are still looking at surgery costs of $4905.
Stevie is a darling boy. He is happy and loves to play not only with humans, but also with toys and, when they are willing, with his foster furs too. He is still young and deserves the chance to have his vision restored.
Please consider donating, however small the amount, so that we can help Stevie see again.
