Eye removal and surgery for Misty

Hi, my name is Liz and this is my cat Misty.

Me and my son rescued him as a kitten a little over a year ago (we originally thought he was a she, hence the name) and ever since he has become a big part of our family. About a week ago he was outside and came home with his eye scratched up and in a lot of pain. I took him to the vet and after being evaluated he was diagnosed with Intra-ocular disease or retrobulbar disease with a corneal ulcer. The course of treatment is surgery to have his eye removed. The vet visit and meds have already racked up a $600 bill, the surgery is estimated around double that, and it’s uncertain what else will be needed.
