Dear friends and family,
My brother, Tyler “Shaggy” Freeman, has been fighting liver disease for some time now, and after many consultations, doctors have determined that a life-saving liver transplant is the only long-term solution. This news brings incredible hope but also significant financial burden. They are facing substantial out-of-pocket costs for a number of related expenses like testing and evaluations, medications which can cost thousands each month, travel and lodging for long-distance appointments, and a 3-6 month hospital stay, all while continuing on a low-income budget. Tyler is a husband to Michelle Freeman and a father to 4 children, 2 boys still at home, 2 girls grown up and out of the house, and an adopted son. Before the diagnosis, he was a talented musician and the owner of his own construction company.
We are hopeful that a successful transplant will allow him to return to the things he loves and get back to a full, healthy life. This experience has been life-altering. It’s not easy to ask for help, but we are reaching out to our community of family and friends for support in any way you can. If you are able, any donation would be tremendously appreciated and helpful. If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing our GoFundMe page. The more people who hear our story, the closer we are to our goal.
With deepest gratitude,
Katie, Tyler, Michelle, and family
