Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer
Hi my name it’s Stacey, i’m 49 years old and I’ve had my fair share of struggles with my health over the years, but not once did I let my disabilities define me. I also felt, no matter what life throws at me, I needed to suck it up and deal with it. I was working, no matter how bad I felt, just pushing through the pain. However, my life was turned upside down when doctors found lesions on my shoulders. Turns out I have advance stages of multiple myeloma, but I thought, I can still work until they are ready to start treatment, man was I wrong. I’m constantly run down and weak, not to mention dealing with the pain of pre-existing disabilities. I’ve applied for SSI and was blown away to find out I was denied countless times because I have my MBA and “should be able to find something”. Now I’m struggling to pay bills and just get by in my daily life. I could really use the support of my family, friends, and community. I never thought I’d be asking for your help and support, but I’m out of options at this point.
