Help Rejected African Street Kids
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Summer Jaimes, in 2013 I joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and went to Togo, West Africa for 3 months. While there I teamed with a local pastor named Solomon Kebbie to help street kids.
From the first time I met the kids I immediately fell in love with them. We worked with homeless street kids trying to get them reunited if possible with their families and helping them get back into school. Unfortunately many leave their home again after a few days due to continued abuse.
After my time with YWAM was over I went back to my home. When I got home I knew Jesus was calling me to go back to Togo and work with the kids. I arrived in Togo in October and immediately began working with the street boys.
A home has been rented for the street boys that couldn't be reunitedwith their family, yet wanted to get off the streets. We are not only giving them a home, but food, and we pay for their schooling and even medical bills.
Just recently we payed medical bills for a street boy that had an appendix burst. If we had not been there to pay for his medical bills he would have died.
We continue working with the boys that are still on the street, helping them to see that there is a better life and we are willing to help them succeed. These boys are hungry, many abused, and must steal for their meals.
We currently have 6 boys in the home, and are needing to find bigger housing as more boys want to accept help for a better life. We are needing money to feed, and educate, cloth, get medical help when needed, and continue to provide housing. We are also wanting to continue providing meals for the homeless street kids.
We appreciate any financial help you can provide.
Thank you,
Summer Jaimes
