Ey Up Ben - Ben Nevis 22

The Ey Up Ben team will be raising money in memory of Ben Rowntree to help the Wakefield COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMME.

Ey Up Ben is a group of Wakefield based friends and ex Kettlethorpe Rugby League team mates who raise funds to support local and national Men’s Mental Health initiatives.   

The group organise a major fundraiser event every year in memory of our friend Ben Rowntree who sadly committed suicide but we also have friends and supporters who raise funds throughout the year.

This year we are supporting COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAMME: Community Awareness Programme based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire provides and cares for those who are homeless and disadvantaged. They provide food, clothing, housewares, furniture, free of charge as well as advice and signposting to relevant agencies within the city. The centre is run by 5 staff and 30 volunteers and is open Monday to Friday each week. 

The CAP team support people who have had hardship in there life which sees many of them  come through the door with mental health challenges who need support to move forward with there lives.
