Donate to help with medical expenses for Scotty

Over a year ago, Scotty began experiencing difficulty in walking and use of his limbs. He was recently diagnosed with CIDP, a rare and non curable disease that attacks the antibodies in the immune system and prevents the brain from communicating with the body affecting the nerves in the arms and legs. Quality of life is significantly impacted. The longer the disease goes untreated, there is increased nerve damage that can permanently limit sensory and motor functions. The antibody treatments will deliver healthy antibodies to help to return some of his mobility. He will require these treatments from now on.

The antibody treatments will cost $3200 per month and will take 6 to 8 months to begin to help or show any signs of improvements to help with day to day life activities.

Scotty currently is immobilized and requires assistance with any normal daily routine. He is also receiving physical therapy several times a month. Our goal is to raise funds to help with all of the medical costs he is facing.

There is a benefit on October 21st and we were asked to create this fund for those who want to donate but could not attend the benefit.
