Hi! My name is Cole and I am raising funds for my dad Neil, pictured above, we are both from Memphis, TN and earlier this year in March my dad was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive kind of cancer called Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Fewer than 800 people PER YEAR in the United States are diagnosed with this type of cancer and you are usually given only a few months to live.

However, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX they have made significant improvements in the treatments for this type of cancer and have developed medicines and procedures that fight the cancer cells extremely well and can give my dad a much greater chance at beating this cancer. They are #1 in the world for treating people with cancer.

Since we live in Memphis and have to drive to Houston for treatments every 3 weeks, the hotel bills, gas, parking garage fees, meals, etc. are a large financial load to carry, and my dad simply just does not have the money to pay for these things. He is already out of savings. In addition to those burdens, my dad's insurance deductible for all the expensive treatments he has already received is several thousand dollars (I think close to $8k) and he cannot pay this and all the travel expenses too. He gets very stressed over how he will pay for all of these things.
