Extreme dog rescue donation request! Puppy, abandoned, car injury, very sweet.

Hello, last week, my wife found this sweet girl sheltering beneath a telephone pole in 100-degree heat, abandoned near a common illegal dumping site in the California Central Valley. We immediately fell in love and named her Kaya. She spent hours picking hundreds of ticks off her body, and Kaya slept for two days straight.

With all the central valley shelters full and the possibility of Kaya being euthanized high, we decided to bring her home. The first thing we did was take her to our trusted veterinarian, and at first glance, they told us she had been hit by a car and that the major injuries were a broken pelvis and some damage to her teeth and possibly jaw. They said that because she's no older than a year old, she's a great candidate for healing both injuries, and the best chance of a good quality of life is immediate surgery to help fuse the pelvis with a plate.

The pelvis surgery was priced between $6,000 and $8,000 before follow-up and dental visits.

We are in the middle of rebuilding our home and already have a high-cost senior dog, so money is tight for extra veterinarian costs. However, we want to save this puppy and keep her forever, so we can muster about $2,000 and are asking for help from kind folks who would like to donate directly to a sweet, innocent puppy in need.
