Sage Jones was the victim of an auto accident. During the evening of December 15, 2021, a car being pursued by the Tampa Police Department struck Sage’s car when she was returning home after an evening of babysitting.
Sage was in the hospital suffering severe injuries for over a week. She is now home with her family with a long recovery ahead. Sage is such a strong, loving young woman. We all know she would rather be celebrating the holidays with family and friends and enjoying her last semester of senior year. Sage is a fighter and is working hard every day to push through her injuries. We hope you all can help make this difficult time a little easier on her family by donating any amount of money to contribute to her recovery. Please keep Sage and her family in your thoughts! Happy Holidays!
As of January 7, 2022:
This past week, she had multiple doctors appointments to determine her plan of care. Her pelvis is healing on track; and Sage is very hopeful the pins will come out soon so she can begin physical therapy. She is still having a few symptoms related to the head injury but was cleared by the concussion center today.
Today she was overjoyed as she was able to return, for 1 hour, to Tampa Prep for the headmaster's event. Seeing familiar faces and being out of bed was the highlight of her week.
