Dear friends, neighbors and extended EV family.

Just like that, we have had to close our doors to indoor dining again. And just like that over 30 staff have been laid off again.

Again, we want to honor all the ways that you, our community and extended family have really been showing up for us and one another.

We've made it through some tough times and one of the toughest of years. We're hoping this indoor dining is a very temporary shutdown. It came at a pretty crushing time though, right before Christmas. If you have the
If you know us, you know that we consider ourselves a tight-knit family and consider all of you who patronize us at Extra Virgin to be part of that family. We swap stories of our New York grinds over drinks and "staff meetings" at the bar. You get personal back rubs and massages from Jean Rene while you wait. You bop nostalgically to the eclectic tunes we curate nightly. And of course satiate your appetites with some of the best cuisine you’ll find in the West Village of Manhattan.

Just like that, we have had to close our doors to indoor dining again. And just like that over 30 staff have been laid off again.

How You Can Help

Our staff comes from all over the world. The majority of them landed in the city to pursue lives in the arts. Their other gigs, which pay considerably less, if at all, have also been ground to a halt. Overnight they’ve found themselves with no steady paycheck, no fallback, or parent’s couch nearby. They could really use your help. If you have the means, no contribution is too small and they would be eternally grateful. 100% of donations will be going to them to help cover their essential needs and take care of their families. Please help if you can.

Lastly, we are still open daily for outdoor dining and take-out and delivery and that is also a great way to support.
