Hi everyone,
Since moving to Florida to start my PhD, I’ve noticed a ton of feral cats in the area. So, I took it upon myself to start trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, and either releasing or fostering them in hopes of finding them loving homes.
In just the last few weeks, I’ve rescued five cats—two of whom are now living with me as I work to socialize them for adoption. However, while the local stray cat program covers basic care like spaying/neutering and vaccinations, some of these cats need more specific veterinary treatment.
Right now, I have two sweet female cats who are both about 1-5 years old. One has an injury in her mouth and needs all of her teeth extracted, and the other is blind. I want to give them a chance at a happy life, but as a PhD student already facing tight budgets, affording the extra vet bills on my own has become challenging.
If you’re able to donate—even just a few dollars—every contribution will help to cover vet visits, medications, and ongoing care so they can heal and eventually find their forever homes.
Thank you so much for your support!
