Extra funds whilst studying
Hi, my name is Shanelle, and I am hoping for some help with additional funds whilst studying.
As a result of some medical concerns, mental health issues (breakdown), and poor decisions I made last year, I resigned from my full-time job. Since then, I have found it very difficult to re-enter the job market in any meaningful way.
I currently work on a casual basis as a Traffic Controller, however am lucky to get more than 1-2 shifts a week, so I am heavily reliant on Centrelink Jobseeker.
After working my previous job for 29 years, I am so eager to get off benefits, however it's apparent I need to upskill to be competitive.
There is a government-funded Cert III Process Manufacturing course I would like to do, which would get me job ready. However, the course is 3 months full-time, which means I couldn't work at all and my Jobseeker benefits are not sufficient to cover my mortgage and all other financial commitments.
My aim is to get full-time employment again, and to finally get off benefits altogether, however I feel I need to do this 3 month course first to upskill and make me competitive. The course is only offered as full-time and in-person.
Over 3 months, I need to supplement my income by approx $2500-2800 to cover my mortgage and other commitments.
I am hoping people will help me take this next step so I can finally get off benefits and start working full-time again.
I appreciate any help! Even thoughts and well wishes if you can't afford to donate. I hate asking, but if you don't try, nothing good can change.
Please DM/PM me for my PayID details if you'd prefer to donate directly.
