Ayomide Ojo, a 24-year-old Nigerian international student at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and a member of Shades of Africa, is currently facing a difficult legal situation. Preliminary reports indicate that he has been accused by a female of an offense and has been held in a detention center since September 29, 2025, following an alleged conflict with a female counterpart.

Beyond his current challenges, Ayomide is known within his community as a devout Christian and a dedicated instrumentalist who plays the violin in his church’s music ministry. Those who know him describe him as humble, respectful, and committed to both his studies and faith.

A fundraising effort is being organized to assist Ayomide in securing bond and legal representation so he can fairly navigate his case.
