Extended Bereavement Leave for the Jenkins Family

Donation protected
The Riverside Team is devastated to have to share the following news.

As many of you know, Nannette and her family were expecting their fifth baby at the end of September. Sadly, Odhran Immanuel Jenkins was stillborn at Frederick Hospital on October 1, 2022.

Nannette had a difficult pregnancy, and an induced hospital birth had been scheduled for that very morning. Her labor began naturally overnight, but en route to the hospital, she began bleeding. Upon arrival, baby Odhran did not have a heartbeat and was born sleeping by emergency cesarean. It was determined that a placental abruption had occurred. In addition, Nannette bled heavily, requiring transfusion, and will likely have an extended time of recovery.

Odhran was beautiful and perfect, a Jenkins baby entirely reminiscent of his four siblings. To be so close to holding this perfect baby boy but then to so suddenly lose him is devastating. Please hold the Jenkins family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve and adjust to this heartbreaking reality.

We know how much this family is loved and appreciated in this community and acknowledge the collective grief to be felt upon hearing this news. Please feel free to send cards or messages of condolence for the Jenkins family to the Riverside Midwifery office at PO Box 69, Buckeystown, MD 21717. Personal notes and tangible cards that can be shared with the kids would be greatly appreciated. Please do not send flowers or gifts.

A meal train has been set up through Sign Up Genius, and some practical household tasks may be added there in the future for those who are local and wish to help. We know many in Nannette and Bradley's extended community are no longer local or cannot be physically present. The family would gratefully accept donations via this GoFundMe to support them through extended medical and bereavement leave.

The funeral will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 3200 Ridge Rd., Westminster, MD. Details will be posted in future updates. The Jenkins family welcomes your attendance.
