I am crowdfunding to support me, my mother, and our dog Max. We are trying to secure stable housing after we were prematurely evicted by a retaliatory leasing company. Her vehicle is at risk of repossession and a lack of transportation would significantly affect her ability to grocery shop, visit social services, and complete daily tasks. I am currently trying to raise funds to extend her hotel stay to avoid living in a crowded shelter. My mom has multiple chronic illnesses and is unable to work due to her medical conditions. She has filed for disability and unemployment but has been waiting for over 7 months with no available timeline or updates due to her citizenship and the current administration’s hiatus on social security, SNAP, and other benefits. If we cannot find stable housing we risk losing our dog Max who has been with us for the last six years. We are trying to survive while we’re still in the middle of an active court case. Any help would make a huge difference in our lives.
