Lawson Ray is a 6 year old little boy who lost his mother……

His mother, Lainee Ray Smith, battled addiction for many years, and unfortunately lost her battle on June 6, 2025.

Lawson was her heart and her joy. Her priority in life was to make sure he knew he was loved and to teach him about God, to have good manners, to appreciate and respect everything, be it people, animals or the earth. To treat everyone with love. She was teaching him to be generous and kind, especially to those who were less fortunate. She taught him to pray and prayed with him.

With meager income, she put her heart into making him a happy home. She dreamed of things she wanted to do for them, but she put her energy into making the most of what she could afford. Together they tended the many plants in their house, fed the fish in their little aquarium, and always had a kitty. They loved their animals. She took him to parks, lakes, pretty spots by rivers and to the ocean to play in the water and swim. They enjoyed being outdoors, going on walks and hiking. They especially liked visiting family and friends they loved.

Lawson is a very smart, loving, and kind little boy. He is generous like his mom was and is happy with simple things they did together.
