Hi everyone,
My name is Brent.
Two years ago, I lost my Golden Retriever who I had grown up with to aggressive lung cancer. The hardest thing in the world was to put her down when she was wagging her tail and kissing me to the very end.
Since then, I have moved to Nevada and got back to moving own with my life without her. However, a year ago I found myself wanting another pet in my life and so I decided to rescue one who was older in order for her to be around the same age as our family pet
Her name is Dallas and she is a 8 year old Shepard Mix. She loves giving kisses to her family and sleeping with her toys while also using them as pillows. She gets the zoomies in the morning, sometimes during the day and especially when a specific someone comes home from work. And to top it off, she tends to hop on her front paws when she barks. She has embraced her family and kisses her sister dog often.
I haven't even had her for one year and already I've found myself in the same situation as she has been diagnosed with anal cancer that has spread to one of her lymph nodes. We've caught it early enough to possibly extend her life to her normal expectancy but she requires 15,000 dollars for a Pre-surgery scan and surgery.
This comes at the worst time when my family is having a lot of financial difficulties just meeting every day expenses and keeping our home.
If it is in your heart to give and help our rescue dog Dallas live her life out, all monies will go strictly to her care. Myself and my family would be very grateful.
We will post updates with her aftercare summary and pictures. Thank you
