Hello World! Chris Patterson here and I am speaking for myself on the behalf of me and my family! Those close to us know the struggles we have encountered over the last few months. Gofundme has been on our mind but we have tried overcoming without. As a sole providing husband, father, I was injured over 6 months ago working through the pain hoping it would get better trying to provide. Not to say Lisa (my wife) does not work. She works her butt off everyday to meet our needs and also volunteering to help others and herself! Lisa was also victim to injury having surgery around May/June of 2024 which put her down for a while during these times too.

On May 14th I was told I couldn't work due to my injury and would have to have surgery (not my choice). I was not prepared mentally for this news! The middle of July I had my surgery and I am still unable to work or even walk for that matter. I am hoping to be walking in a week or so finally since May although I will still be in a cast and only as tolerable. I still do not know when I will be able to return to work. Our son started kindergarten and Lisa has been doing it all a true champion! I applied for Workers Comp and got denied more than once and we thought through conversation with my HR department there would be some help but we are still waiting! Not trying to talk down about anyone or anything just being honest. I did have Short Term Disability which I am so happy of. The Short Term Disability is only 12 weeks though and still only 60% of salary. I do not have Long Term Disability unfortunately.

With all this being said we have been scratching to get by but with Faith, we have been able to keep Hope and have been blessed. Many people know our story at least where we come from. I have learned to accept help from my past the hard thing is still asking, and admitting the need for help. I learned long ago it's a hand up not a hand out and that is what we are reaching out for. A Hand Up! We have come a long way and the thought of losing everything was almost overwhelming in the beginning but I reminded myself to Trust In Tomorrow and consider a hand up a blessing. We are looking for a hand to help cover day to day expenses, monthly utilities, help avoid high interest debt on credit cards, and a sense of security. After talking with my wife we decided to put this out there and if anyone is willing to help, accept it wholehearted with gratitude and love.
