Meet Julia, one of the most amazing ladies I have had the pleasure of knowing. Julia moved here to Washington from Mississippi as a single mother of two, plus a sweet baby boy on the way. Life was set with a new start and was going to be worry free! But things started to change for her when she lost her work-from-home position.

Around the same time she gave birth to her third beautiful son, Amir. (On Thanksgiving Day) Amir was unexpectedly born with one lung and then diagnosed with VACTERL syndrome. Amir has been at Children’s Hospital since birth and is a complete warrior, shocking doctors with his recovery from surgery and the progress he’s making.

Although Julia is carrying a heavy mental load, she has not given up looking for a work-from-home job! She is still actively looking, applying, and interviewing. Between living and just trying to keep a normal schedule for her older two boys who are in school and making her way every day to the hospital to see her baby, she has completely run through her savings and can no longer afford the gas it takes to visit her baby or any other life expenses. Losing her housing is the newest struggle she is facing.

Julia is a beautiful woman of great faith and wouldn’t ask a person for anything but prayers. I believe we as a community can rally together and show this wonderful family our love and support. Whether you can offer prayers or any financial help, we are extremely grateful!
