Extend a Hand to Ben in His Time of Need
Donation protected
UPDATE 3/20/25 - After almost 10 months, Ben has been offered a position at Charter! Downside is that he doesn't start until the 31st, and won't get his first check until April 12th. I'm asking for just a little bit more help to get us through. We're behind on everything. We've been donating plasma to make our car payment (we're only $600 away from having the damn thing paid off), and fuel for Ben to get into the office (up near Riverport). We're THIS CLOSE to being self sufficient again. Any help (which I know in this economy is goddamn difficult for everyone) would be more than appreciated. I'll be in your debt. Thank you all. I love you.
Let's not gild the lily here. Ben was let go from his job in May, with no notice or reason why. While they gave him a minor severance, we've had to cash in his retirement to get by.
He has been applying for positions daily since May, as they come available, with very few responses. The few nibbles he's had have gone to others.
We have other responsibilites above ourselves, helping those in our circle. It's not just Ben & I that are in danger of losing things. This has been detrimental to Ben's mental health, as well as his self confidence. He's extraordinarily talented in his chosen profession, and loves what he does. I am absolutely furious that no one seems to see this.
We've kept this to ourselves, as we didn't want to burden anyone else with our problems. We are down to our last two weeks of funds. I'm humbly asking for any help that might be offered. The amount I've set would give us another couple of months to try and find employment for him. We just need a little help.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea. Any shares would be most appreciated. I love you all.
