Yes, Kristin is "Homeward Bound" on the road back home to Virginia after 16 years, along with her own little animal family, Lugnut Dog and EJ Cat. It's a long, long journey made even longer by crazy weather, trying to avoid mountains, snow, and other impediments of nature. Overall, it's added about 800 miles and extra costs for gas, motels, food, and other expenses so . . . we're still accepting donations to help offset some of those unexpected costs.

Kristin’s Story
As I've said, I’m immensely proud of Kristin. I’ve never known anyone who’s faced more obstacles, experienced such despair and disappointment, struggled through years of mental and emotional pain as a child, teenager, and young adult. That she found the strength to survive it all is remarkable. Despite all that, she found the courage to build a fulfilling life for herself and succeeded in a career doing what she loves most—taking care of animals, especially the lost and suffering ones.

Her homecoming marks the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one I'm sure will be filled with happiness, love, and new successes. All of you, our Facebook friends, longtime friends, and family, helped make it possible through your kindness and generosity.
