My friend Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of this pandemic. She has gone through multiple surgeries by herself as we couldn’t be there due to COVID-19. After months of chemo she is now receiving radiation on both breasts. Nobody thinks it will happen to them. When she found the painful lumps and asked if I’d ever had a mammogram, I said, as we all probably say, “I’m sure it’s nothing”. It was something. It was in both breasts and lymph nodes.
This is someone who wouldn’t ask for a thing. She’s probably going to be a little upset that I’m putting this out here but that’s ok. I think we all can agree that nobody should go into immense debt in order to survive cancer. Cathy has blown us all away by her strength and of course, her brilliant sense of humor through this awful ordeal. We appreciate any and all support for our friend!!! Thank you everyone!
