John's Medical Fund

John Upton is the Captain of the Katlyn. He's a fishes all year along the North Coast. 
My dad just started chemo to help battle Leukemia, done a couple bone marrow transplants & every week he has blood transfusions. He's
always been a hard working man! Fisherman for decades along the north coast on the Katlynn, he was fishing up until this took him down 2 months ago. No work means no income during this time. The doctors told him to live life to the fullest, live everyday like it's your last and gave him 6 months to a year at most with treatments to help prolong his time here. The treatments are not close to home and are very costly, he means the world to all of us. I'd love for him and my mom to be comfortable with no worries while they live in a hotel in Campbell River and travel to Victoria for treatments. Right now they're struggling between places to stay, food & travel costs. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
I'm hoping with this help they'll be less stressed and with less stress he'll be stronger & still fighting strong when we arrive back in Canada to see them. It's breaking my heart knowing the man who's been there for my babies and I is going through all of this.
