Expressions of Love for James Pitts and Family

James Pitts transitioned from labor to reward after suffering a heart attack on the morning of January 1, 2022. Appearing otherwise healthy, his passing was completely unexpected, and his family and friends are devastated. James was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His children, Jasmine, and Jonathan were the center of his universe, he truly loved and doted on them. Whether it was a recital, play, cheer competition, or just an awards program, he was always front and center smiling and cheering (with a bunch of roses for his little princess) them on. They were second only to his love for the Lord. A fervent worshipper, he made sure his children knew the word of God and had an intimate relationship with God as well.

The family is appreciative for all acts of kindness and support that have been extended to them. Their hearts are overwhelmed with grief as they begin the process of trying to move forward and adjust to a life without their father, son and co-parent. The family asks that you please pray for his parents, siblings, and extended family as they adjust to the news. They ask a special covering of prayer of his children as they try to adapt to life without their ever-present father.

Many have asked how they might support the family during this time. As you can imagine, James’ untimely passing has caught everyone by surprise and contributions can be made to help defer funeral expenses, and to support his children as they adjust to a new normal.
