On Saturday the 12th June 2021, Sharna and her family woke up to a normal day, but it turned out to be far from that! As Sharna entered the kitchen, she smelled gas, then the house exploded. She took the full force of the explosion and was airlifted to Swansea, where she is currently being looked after in the burns unit. Luckily, one daughter was at work and the other was able to escape through the rubble unhurt. Sadly, the house was destroyed, along with all their possessions. They were literally left with only the clothes they were wearing. Investigations are underway to establish the cause.
I have set up this fundraiser to try and help them rebuild their lives, to replace some of the possessions that were lost (those that can be replaced, many personal items are irreplaceable). Please help in anyway you can, even a small donation will help them to get the essentials they need, and make the trauma of this event easier to cope with.
We are all thankful it wasn't so much worse, and for the wonderful emergency services who came to their rescue!
Thank you X
