Explant Surgery for Breast Implant Illness

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lark. I am a Veteran of the United States Navy to which I actively served our country for 8 years. Today, I have hung up my uniform and live in NYC, where I walk and take care of the cutest dogs in Gramercy!

In 2004 I elected to have a breast argumentation procedure. Unfortunately, I began to see signs of Breast Implant Illness (BII) in 2006, only 2 years later. For those who do not know, BII can develop after undergoing reconstruction or cosmetic augmentation with breast implants and results in chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, hair loss, inflammation, dry eyes, and severe physical pain. I have spent the past 15+ years suffering from these symptoms and more. I spend each day in severe pain, can no longer work out or take care of my body, and the only remedy is the removal of the saline implants, which is expensive. The VA does not recognize BII, and therefore, my insurance does not cover the cost of the procedure.

I am blessed to have a client whose uncle is a plastic surgeon and has offered to remove my breast implants in early May! I am asking for your support in paying for the procedure and loss of income while down.
Thank you so much in advance, I am forever grateful.
