Homeless in Kankakee

Hi my name is EiNara Lloyd, my son and I are struggling as I'm sure many are during this time of uncertainty and wanted to know if there's anyone who can help us. We know and are clear that it will take more than one person's help in this ordeal. And that no amount is too small. I moved back to Chicago from Georgia to avoid homelessness only to be homeless and hungry. I have asked family members and friends and even "robbed Peter to pay Paul", any  help is excepted and appreciated as well as needed. It's a big mess but the short story is I was injured at a job that didn't have workman's compensation insurance. That means that I don't get any payments for my injury. I can sue them for everything I had to pay for out of my pocket and what doctor the attorney can get to see me on a lean. Because of this I lost my apartment, so my mom told me I could come stay with her. I did but she didn't want my son there. She never explained why but it's her house. I cannot see my son on the street and I'm at her house. He's 21 with asperger's ssyndrome. He just started a job and won't get paid for the standard 3 weeks. As for me, I got here to the country (Kankakee) where there's still gravel roads in some areas of the county. It's just 90 miles south from the city of Chicago but as behind as Mayberry itself when it comes to social services and the pandemic has made it 10 timea worse. I get here just to get a horrendous case of H. Pylori and wouldn't you know my Medicaid doesn't cover the cost of the antibiotics which I have to have a second round of because I still have it. Currently we are 2 weeks behind on rent and I pray every day I miss the owner to avoid hearing those 2 ax grinding words. Plus the next 3 weeks of room rent for our motel. $300 wkly , medications, food and transportation for my son to get to work. Also the winter is coming in the Midwest ASAP when we got here it was warmer so we are NOW ill prepared and will need warmer clothing of which we are more than willing to find thrift stores and clothing closets whenever we can find them except when it comes to our intimate wear.j
