Hi,
We are the IUCN SSC Wild Tulip Specialist Group (WTSG). We work to understand wild tulip biodiversity and ensure that these beautiful species are protected from extinction. Wild tulips grow across much of Eurasia with particularly high diversity in Central Asia and Türkiye, Iran, and the Caucasus - but unlike you would expect, wild tulips don't grow in the Netherlands! Many species of wild tulip are facing threats such as livestock overgrazing, climate change, overcollection, and mining, and are in urgent need of conservation action. We are a voluntary group of experts from all over the world who undertake projects to ensure these species continue to survive for future grenerations to enjoy. You can read more about our work on our website here - https://tulipconservation.com/.
Our experts contribute to tulip conservation efforts in all sorts of ways, many of which are unseen and often without any recognition. To increase the visibility of the group we are fundraising for simple pin badges that our experts can wear at conferences, workshops, and events to showcase their involvement in the expert group. However, as we are a voluntary group we do not have funding to support this purchase and we are therefore fundraising for the cost of the badges. We would be grateful for any amount of money you can spare towards this cause and we welcome anyone to follow and support our work in any way possible. You can contact us via our website and we will be very happy to hear from you.
Thank you for your time and generosity.
