Help with care and expenses after a horrific accident
Donation protected
On April 18 my sister and her family were in a horrible accident. Her husband Robbie and her oldest son were killed on the scene. She is in a coma at UMC Trauma Center. Her youngest two are in the hospital with serious injuries. Here is the news report if you wish to see what happened. It is a very serious situation.
Mom is still in a coma, but showing positive signs that she will wake up in time. The youngest is now up and moving slowly with the use of a walker. The oldest is in a cast until she can get to the pediatric bone doctor. She is still marked as critical.
Due to the loss of life of dad and critical conditions of mom, their income has taken a hit. This is truly a devastating time for all of us who know them, but more so for them. They will lose their apartment as income took such a blow. With her in a coma and him losing his life its just not possible.
This has been all over the news locally and unfortunately their apartment was broken into last night. So to add more heartbreak to an already horrible situation, they now have to replace things.
This fundraiser is to help my good friend with costs of tending to the children when they are released while mom is still in the hospital and recovering. He has been appointed as their guardian until mom is better. The youngest is projected to be released by Monday.
They have a long road to recovery ahead of them. The funds will be used for their care. Transportation to and from appointments, any special things they may need to aid their recovery, clothing, etc.
He is dealing with a lot trying to get everything arranged and organized, so help with financial costs of the children when they are released into his care would help take a huge burden off of him.
There is a lot that needs done, but for now we just want to see that the kids are taken care of and have everything they need to recover and heal while they wait for mom to be better. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Even if you cant help financially, sharing this and prayers are also appreciated.
