Hi, my name is Jennifer Clark. I have a Masters in Pastoral Theology and Religion and dedicated my life to working for the Catholic Church as a single lay-person for 20 years. In August 2021, my position was eliminated. I am 50 years old and despite my best efforts, I am finding it challenging to obtain employment to survive. I am grateful for finding some financial support with food and some one-time utility bills and have recently obtained a crossing guard position to begin in January. I didn't think I would be in this position for so long and with some once a year bills coming up (car registration, car insuance, etc.) and my benefits ending, I have humbled myself to reach out in this way. I was homeless once when I was young, and there wasn't something like this to help so I am grateful for this resource too. I help organize international tours and will have some income later February/early March, but until then, I find myself very short financially.
