Help support the Cohen sisters who lost their dad

Please help my good friend and her two older sisters who tragically lost both of their parents. Adam Cohen unexpectedly passed away on October 19th, 2022 at age 60. When I met Shayna Cohen and became friends with her at Redwood High School, I was deeply saddened to hear the story about how she lost her mom, Lori, from ALS when she was in middle school. This tragedy impacted Shayna and her sisters, as it would anyone. The Cohen sisters are truly the most caring and strong women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. The money from this page will be split evenly amongst the three sisters.
It was incredibly devastating to find out that they just unexpectedly lost their father too. Of all the people I know, it is unbelievable to me that life’s journey and circumstances would be so cruel to this family.
Three amazing young women now face life without their two parents and they need our support. On Wednesday, October 19th, the father of Shayna (age 22), Shelby (age 25), and Sammy (age 27) unexpectedly died of a heart attack. Adam Cohen, their loving, goofy, and wonderful dad, was only 60 years old when he passed. This devastating tragedy came just nine years after their mom, Lori Cohen, passed away from ALS when the girls were still in grade school in Larkspur. The shocking news is unbelievably unfair.
It breaks my heart that these three women have had to endure such tragedy so early in life. No one at their age should ever be forced to grow up so fast. Shayna, the youngest daughter, had just begun to pursue her undergraduate degree at San Francisco State in August. She lives alone in an apartment in Oakland that used to be just minutes away from her dad's place. Shelby works and lives in San Diego with her boyfriend. Sammy lives and works in San Francisco. The sisters need time to grieve without having to worry about their expenses.
I ask that you please consider helping the Cohen sisters out so that they can mourn the loss of their dad during such an emotionally painful time without the extra pressure of staying afloat financially. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Attached are links to Adam Cohen and Lori Cohen's obituaries. Please consider sharing this page on your social media as well. Thank you very much. We are sending our love to the Cohen sisters and wish them incredible strength during this time.
