Bonnie and Eric Albers lost their ten year old son yesterday (August 31st, 2019) due to a bike accident in Springport, Michigan.  Shayne Albers, their son, died as a result of internal bleeding (preliminary results) at Sparrow hospital in Lansing.   Bonnie drove Shayne to the Eaton Rapids Medical Center Emergency Room as Eric held him in the back seat.  Bonnie then rode with Shayne in the ambulance from Eaton Rapids to Sparrow.   Once at Sparrow, the trauma unit did all that they could to stop the bleeding, but it wasn't enough or it was too late.  

Shayne loved Daisy,  his Great Dane more than anything.  Shayne loved to ride bikes too.  He also loved his Mother, Father, and siblings, O'Brien, Kalob, Branden and Makayla with all of his heart.  

The Albers will not be having a funeral or service for Shayne.  They have selected cremation so that Shayne can be home with them.  

Eric works in Jackson at IST (Industrial Steel Treating) as a truck driver.  Bonnie stays home and cares for the family.   Shayne was a 4th grader at Eaton Rapids Intermediate and Makayla is a 1st grader at Eaton Rapids Intermediate.  

Costs are unknown at this time.  They were (and still are) planning on having Shayne's 10th Birthday celebration next Saturday, September 7th. 

Please donate to the Albers Family so that they are not tasked with grieving the loss of their child as well as costs of the cremation.  Additionally, extra can be put towards a birthday party/life celebration for Shayne Albers, where money is not a concern.   It is also expected that Eric will need time off of work to grieve and be with his family during this tragedy.  

This Go Fund Me account was approved by Bonnie Albers.  While she only wants her baby back, these funds will help give her and her family some relief.  Donations are needed asap.   Thank you for your donation.
