Recently our mom became very sick with what we thought to be a bad infection. After several weeks of antibiotics and no relief she was admitted to the hospital and completed many tests. Today we were informed that she has been diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  As this comes to a complete shock for us we know her journey is only beginning. Not only is she a mother to my sister and I, but to our 5 year old autistic baby brother. She has a long journey ahead of her for recovery and could use all the support she can get.
