My daughter Robyn Rivera,  and her children Marina and Miley are going through a lot of sadness and hardships at this time.  Her husband Mario is seriously ill at this time and in the hospital.  Mario has had ongoing complications from an infection that he had on the heal of his foot that spread and lead to an amputation on August 14, 2020. On top of diabetes his white blood cells have been elevated for quite awhile right now with this infection and his kidneys have taken the brunt of it.  With the foot amputated it has closed the infection off.  He can’t get the amputation closed off until his kidneys get better and gallbladder.  At this time he has an inflamed gallbladder that has had to have a drain put in his stomach. If needed he cannot have his gallbladder removed till his kidneys get better.  He has started dialysis today.  He did very well there, they said.  They also got a lot of fluid out of his gallbladder. We hope that his kidneys will get better as time goes on.  Mario is very ill.  He is going to need ongoing medical attention, with home nurses, doctor appointments, dialysis, physical therapy and later on he will get fitted in a prosthesis and be able to walk without crutches and not use a knee walker.  With all this happening Mario will most likely not be able to work anymore which will impact his family's lives.  We don’t know how long Mario is going to be in the hospital at this time.  We don’t know his future.  We don’t know what lasting effects he is going to have.   Robyn cannot support the family with only her income at this time.  Robyn is very depressed and worried about keeping a roof over there heads, food on the table, paying their mortgage, unknown medical expenses and the list goes on and on.  Robyn is a very proud person and does not know how to ask for help but she desperately needs help.  Thank you to anyone who can give assistance of any kind.  It will help a lot.   God bless all of you.
