As many of you know, our father, a beloved member of many communities (soccer, meteorology, the military), recently passed away unexpectedly. Given the unforeseen timing of his death, there was no money set aside to fund the associated expenses that come with financing both the funerals in Texas and in Virginia. Due to the pending cause of death, the timeline for his life insurance payout is indeterminate, potentially more than months (well after we need the money to pay for costs). These costs include airfare for immediate family members, caskets, headstones, cremation services, urns, and associated personal expenses for his close family members.

Patrick was not just our father, he was a father figure to many. He was the most selfless person I have ever met and his loss has quickly rippled through all the lives he has touched.
