Expenses for Corey McVety
Donation protected
Just wanted to let everyone know that Corey is doing well! Look at that smile! Naturally with the extent of his injuries he still has a long road ahead, but each day he continues to improve. Ron wants to personally thank all those who have donated and have continued to pray for Corey.
With permission from family I am starting a fundraiser to help support expenses for Corey.
Corey was in a sole motorcycle accident due to a throttle cable malfunction on June 22. Miraculously he was found by a Firefighter from St.Marys township fire dept. who happened to be in the area. It’s estimated that he had been laying alone and unresponsive for approximately 2hrs before being found. He was taken to Miami Valley via Careflight. Corey was placed in ICU listed as critical condition. He had a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain and several areas of road rash. For 2weeks he showed no signs of improvement and the bleeding in his brain continued. Doctors did not give him good odds. By miracle he has since woke up. He is able to look around the room, move his arms and has grinned on occasion. Each day is blessed with continuing progress. It’s still unknown what his outcome will be and he definitely has a long road ahead of him.
Corey selflessly served the United States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. This young man is 25yrs old and has a lot left to give in life. He is such a kind, caring and compassionate individual who will be grateful for any help provided and continued prayers!
