Expenses following sudden death of Christopher P.

Donation protected
On February 14, 2021 (Valentines Day) I lost my best friend, confidante, soul mate and father of our children, Christopher Sullivan. He was involved in what seemed to be a minor car accident but didnt realize how serious his head injury was. He died 10 days later.  We are stunned and devastated walking through the harsh realization that Chris will not continue with us through this life. I am broken.

We fell madly in love and married on Easter Sunday 1992 in Tennessee.  Chris was a proud South Florida guy. We have two beautiful children.....Grant, 24 and Amy, 16. He is known for his selfless, kind, willing to help personality...a gentle giant that never complained and loved deeply with his soul.  He was an amazing father and husband. Our children have been our life's focus, When Grant sustained massive injury to his ankle and required multiple surgeries, and continues to heal...we rallied together as a family to help him through. Our little fighter, Amy, is delicate but resilient defying odds. She is on a ventilator 24 hours a day with a severe seizure disorder and his care for her was very hands on helping me when we lost the majority of our nursing services for Amy due to Covid 19 and the great need for nurses elsewhere.  In 2014 when I nearly lost my life and was in a coma and recovery for months, Chris held down the fort. He worked, provided care for our daughter with complex medical needs and visited me in the hospital every day. Even as I recovered from a TBI he was there to help me remember things...how to walk, relearn how to read and write...help me to find the right words to say when my mind couldnt formulate what I wanted to express. He has always been my knight in shining armour.  I miss him with every cell of my being. My heart breaks for the father, son, uncle, brother, cousin, friend and husband whose life ended way too soon. It has been an honor to share my life with this amazing man. I feel lost without him.

Chris has always been our protector. He was the sole breadwinner of the family while I stayed home to care for our sick children. As soon as he got home, he rolled up his sleeves and helped do whatever needed to be done.  He never complains about changing Amys diapers, dealing with feeding tubes, nebulizers, a ventilator, massive amounts of medications all throughout the day and night...or the fact that our family room looks like an intensive care unit. Due to their extensive medical needs as well as the everyday stressors to maintain a functioning household we could not maintain certain expenses such as life insurance and have depleted what resources we had to stay afloat. We live a very simple life, but one filled with love. My best friend is gone but I know his love will give us the strength to recover from this horror. However, we are utterly overwhelmed with the undeniable weight of how we are going to survive the immediate future.

At this time not only are we in need of such unfathomable emotional support, we never foresaw a need to ask for a financial gift of this magnitude. Family members, loved ones, friends as well as any strangers that might read this and understand or care where we are, I am asking for a miracle that I cannot see right now. Thank you so much.

With Love,
Suzy, Grant and Amy Sullivan
